Useless Wrestlers That Somehow Always Get Work
Okay, I realize that I am not a professional wrestler. I realize that I have no chance in hell of ever even making it past the NGW…EVER.
However, as a fan, I am tired of seeing these names getting dropped whenever WWE’s next big competitor tries to form.
Vampiro - Here’s a big waste of space. How does this guy still manage to keep getting hired? He was never THAT great of a professional wrestler or a cruiserweight. Even TNA’s X-Division fodder can outwrestle this guy. He was never that huge to begin with and even bombed out after a feud with STING, of all people. Sheesh…
X-Pac/Syxx/123 Kid/Sean Waltman - What the fuck is the deal with this guy? What the fuck is the deal with people hiring him?! He’s not that great. His interviews are lame. He writes annoying blogs about Chyna. This man’s heat was pretty much dead when Shane McMahon pinned him at Wrestlemania 15. After that, it became “Yeah…whatever.” However, he kept on still coming. (Don’t even get me started on X-Factor). Yet, he still gets hired for startup promotions even though the money could be used better elsewhere. The ONLY thing this guy has left in him is possibly one last 2 month run reuniting on the D-Generation X reunion tour before that gimmick becomes completely stale.
Buff Bagwell - Thankfully, this man’s career seems to be dying down but here’s a guy who single handedly made the whole WCW vs. WWF Invasion completely and utterly BORING (although I know there is more to it than that, I blame him). What does he do? He flexes his muscles and has a smile…and that’s about fucking it. The WWF fired him after the Invasion thing and because he got in an altercation with SHANE HELMS. Now…keep in mind this was before Shane Helms was the Hurricane or Gregory Helms. Shane Helms is a great wrestler, but my point is that if it was, say, Batista who got in an altercation with Shane Helms, they’d just ignore it or just suspend him for a week. So, they were looking to fire him. Then, he still manages to hired by failed startups XWF & LWA. Along with getting work from TNA a couple times.
Honrable Mentions:
Vince Russo, Rick Steiner, Rena Mero, and Disco Inferno.
